Understanding readings

How to read a chart without handing over your decisions

A planetary position, an interpretation and a promise about your future are different things. Keeping them separate makes a reading easier to assess.

Start with the calculated layer

The birth-chart engine calculates selected astronomical positions and translates them into traditional chart conventions. Its supported outputs include sidereal signs, nakshatra and pada, D1 whole-sign houses and D9, when the available inputs support them. The result should identify the convention, location and time assumptions. Different conventions can produce different presentations.

Treat interpretation as interpretation

A guide may use a traditional theme to ask a reflective question. That theme does not establish someone's personality, intentions or future behaviour. You can ask, ‘Which part is a calculated fact, and which part is your interpretation?’ A clear explanation should make the distinction easy to follow.

Notice pressure

A reading should not use fear about a curse, dosha or bad outcome to make you buy something. Simply Panditji does not sell paid remedies or gemstones. Optional cultural practices should remain optional and should never replace consent, safety, treatment or professional advice.

Keep a decision note

Before acting, write the decision, the evidence outside astrology, the cost of being wrong and a small reversible test. Revisit that note after the conversation. You can save a reading for reflection, but saving it does not turn it into an independent assessment or a guaranteed prediction.

  • Check the input details and uncertainty warnings.
  • Ask for the calculation behind a specific chart claim.
  • Keep other people's choices and your own agency in view.
